Community Participation

We at IDEA believe that taking part in community, social, and recreational activities will increase your well-being, help you forge a stronger community spirit…and most importantly TO HAVE FUN!!!

Our community participation support caters to the individual interests and abilities of our participants.  We provide a comprehensive range of programs and activities to help you get out in the community, take a class, volunteer, exercise and make new friends.

Your days will be filled with your choice of program – such as:

  • sensory interactive activities
  • music groups
  • arts and crafts
  • technology
  • home and living skills
  • personal development
  • yoga
  • cooking and developing domestic skills
  • catching public transportation
  • dancing
  • gym, bowling, and many other leisure activities.

If you’d prefer something different or closer to home, then our team can make that happen.   You can get together with friends for a day out with personalised support, or be matched with someone who’ll share the excitement of your special interest.
